NOTICE OF FILING DATES

FOR 2026 BLOOMING PRAIRIE CITY ELECTION

NOTICE is hereby given by the City of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota that the first day of filing of candidates for the November 3, 2026, City General Election is Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and the last day for filing is Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

The offices to be filled at said election are as follows:

Mayor – two-year term

Council member - Four-Year Term

Council member - Four-Year Term

Candidates must file in the office of the City Administrator, City Hall, 138 Hwy Ave S, Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from July 14, 2026, to July 28, 2026.

Candidates must be eligible voters in Minnesota, at least 21 years of age upon assuming office, and have maintained residence in the City of Blooming Prairie for 30 days before the general election. Filing fee is $2.00
